Thoughts and Notes is part of the website for Geog 101, World Regional Geography, at the University of Mary Washington. This is the place where I will post items I hope will be of interest to students in the class, as well as recommended readings, useful links, and questions and ideas for discussion.

Debate, discussion, argument, and the exchange of ideas are an important part of the World Regional Geography class. So, if you are a student in the class, please feel free to comment, question, and express your opinions here. If you are a not a student in the class, I invite you too to contribute to our discussion.

Please note that there are two blogs associated with this course. This one, Thoughts and Notes, is intended as a place for discussion of issues related to our class discussions and readings. The other blog, UMW Regional GeogBlog, is a place where I write about my own travels, thoughts, and ideas. I invite you to join the discussion in either or both of these places.
